VERIVERY reflects on time, growth, and the powerful rediscovery at the center of [Lost and Found] in an exclusive interview.

VERIVERY has long stood out as a group whose artistry deepens with time. Known for pairing polished performance with intricate storytelling, they approach each project with a level of intention that sets them apart. Whether through genre-shifting production or expressive choreography, VERIVERY continues to push their sound and narrative forward, evolving into a group defined not only by talent but by vision. With every release, they demonstrate a remarkable ability to refine their craft vocally, conceptually, and emotionally, earning praise as artists who never stop searching for more.

Beyond their sleek stage presence, VERIVERY’s strength lies in how they create collaboratively, thoughtfully, and with an honest curiosity about who they can become. Their discography maps a journey of experimentation, from lighthearted beginnings like “Ring Ring Ring Ring” to darker, more introspective themes like “Thunder,” showcasing a group unafraid to reinvent themselves. Their performances have grown more dynamic, their vocals richer, and their connection with fans deeper. VERIVERY is a team that consistently outgrows their previous best, proving with every era that they are not just making music. They are building something meaningful.

That growth takes a new shape with their 4th Single Album [Lost and Found], a release that marks a moment of reintroduction and renewed perspective. This chapter reflects maturity, teamwork, and a fresh artistic confidence, inviting listeners to understand who VERIVERY is today and where they are headed next. We spoke with the members to explore the heart behind this single album, the stories they hope to share, and the new identity they are ready to present to the world.

Hi VERIVERY! It’s wonderful to talk with you. To start off, how are your hearts feeling as you begin this new chapter together?

DONGHEON: Hi, we’re all very excited to make a comeback after two and a half years with Lost and Found! We think the songs in this album are great, and we’re looking forward to showcasing even better music and performances through this album.

Congratulations on your fourth single album [Lost and Found]. What story or message did you want to communicate through this album?

YEONHO: In this album, we tried to convey stories and emotions that we wanted to share with our fans during the hiatus. We hoped to convey our desperation to meet with fans again through a new release, express our gratitude and apologies to fans who have been waiting for us, and create more opportunities to meet them through various music and performances moving forward.

The phrase “lost and found” can mean many things. What meaning does it hold for each of you personally?

DONGHEON: I think the process of us taking on a new challenge to find what we have lost was the most important part. We attempted multiple challenges while preparing for this album to rediscover the time we missed with our fans during our hiatus, the opportunity to share new music, and the emotion that can only be felt on stage.

GYEHYEON: The biggest part of it was our desperation to regain our time with fans that had been missed. We tried to convey that desperation as much as possible while working on this album, and I think it was portrayed well through the title track and the visual elements of the album.

YEONHO: To me, it represents ‘한 (han),’ or an emotion borne of extreme resentment, grief, or regret, and passionate determination that were piled up during our hiatus. This comeback would be our first step toward really letting out these emotions and getting back on track.

YONGSEUNG: I would say that our hiatus was the time that VERIVERY was ‘lost,’ and the Lost and Found album represents the step where VERIVERY is ‘found’ again. The desire to rediscover the time that was lost between VERIVERY and VERRERs through our comeback could be described as the essence of this new album.

KANGMIN: To me, it means the fear of missing or losing something completely during our hiatus and the process of overcoming challenges to regain everything. At first, with a long hiatus, we were afraid that we might have lost too much. However, we were able to overcome that fear with the excitement to meet our fans again and the joy of preparing performances, and now we’re ready for a new beginning with this album.

VERIVERY has always had a strong identity with experimental and narrative-driven concepts—how does Lost and Found build on or break away from that style?

GYEHYEON: Since Lost and Found is not part of a series, it does have a slightly different way of storytelling compared to our previous releases. However, it still contains elements of storytelling, as it tells the story of VERIVERY’s new beginning and our journey to the future. We took on various musical challenges on this album, so I would say that Lost and Found maintains VERIVERY’s traditional color and strengths while showcasing more challenging, varied sides of us!

Can you share any memorable or challenging moments from the music video shoot or choreography practice that stand out?

GYEHYEON: We shot a group choreography scene under artificial rain, but it was quite difficult to dance because the floor was slippery. But looking back, that scene of us dancing in the rain looks great, so it also makes me proud.

KANGMIN: At first, I was a bit worried about this album not meeting our fans’ expectations because we haven’t released an album in a while, and this comes after BOYS II PLANET, which was widely loved. However, we soon got over that worry by working on the album with much joy and looking forward to performing in front of our fans.

How do you feel you’ve grown individually during this period between releases?

YONGSEUNG: During that time, we all took on a variety of new challenges. Some members tried a whole new field such as variety show, drama, and musical, and DONGHEON, GYEHYEON, and KANGMIN participated in BOYS II PLANET. In addition, not only did each of us take lessons as artists, but we also learned so much from our colleagues, constantly trying to improve our skills and visions as artists. I especially felt that KANGMIN has grown significantly while preparing for the new album, which shows how much effort he has put in.

Which member surprised you the most during the preparation of this comeback, whether in performance, creativity, or energy?

DONGHEON: I think our youngest, KANGMIN, improved a lot in terms of skills and energy after appearing on BOYS II PLANET.

GYEHYEON: While preparing this album, KANGMIN was very active in sharing his opinions and showed great passion, and it proved his great effort to show growth to everyone. I was very proud of how much he has grown.

YEONHO: KANGMIN. I always thought of him as our youngest member, but he has matured and improved greatly.

YONGSEUNG: I’d choose KANGMIN. I think he improved greatly in many aspects after BOYS II PLANET, and I feel that I don’t have anything else to teach him now.

KANGMIN: I think all members improved a lot, but if I have to choose one, I would say it’s GYEHYEON. He has always been a great source of motivation and inspiration for me during practice or on stage.

Looking back on this album, what are you most proud of accomplishing together as a group?

YEONHO: This album’s recording process took particularly long, and I think that influenced the members’ vocal skills in a positive way, which I’m very proud of!

KANGMIN: I think Lost and Found is an album that took on a challenge in various genres, and seeing our members pull off such variety so well made me feel proud of them.

You recently wrapped up your [Hello VERI Long Time] fan meeting. How did meeting fans again influence your mindset while finalizing the album?

DONGHEON: We had so much fun because it was an opportunity to meet and communicate with our fans before releasing a new album. The chance to meet them so closely, even before the album release, felt very precious.

YONGSEUNG: Our fans are always our motivation and inspiration, so meeting them in any form brings huge meaning to us. We’re planning to give our best in this album promotion as well, with our fans’ cheers and support.

If you could describe VERIVERY’s sound in three words based on your full discography, what would they be?

DONGHEON: I’d choose ‘warmth,’ ‘energy,’ and ‘story.’

GYEHYEON: I would express it with ‘youth,’ ‘solace,’ and ‘growth.’ Our sound carries our youth, provides solace to some people, and represents our growth not only as musical artists but also as individuals.

YEONHO: ‘Variety,’ ‘VERIVERY,’ and ‘strong.’

YONGSEUNG: I would say, ‘harmony,’ ‘vocal color,’ and ‘sense of space.’ When I work on music, I try to focus on these three elements.

KANGMIN: I think ‘refreshing,’ ‘powerful,’ and ‘dopamine’ fit well to describe our sound.

For someone discovering VERIVERY for the very first time, what song from your discography would you recommend they listen to first, and why?

DONGHEON: I’d recommend “불러줘 (Ring Ring Ring),” as it is our debut track that announced our beginning.

GYEHYEON: I want to recommend our new title track, “RED (Beggin’).” It is an interpolation of a classic track that transcends the older generation and modern generation familiar with short-form content, reinterpreted in VERIVERY’s own style, so I believe everyone will be able to enjoy it.

YEONHO: I think it’d be great if you listen to “Raincoat,” a track that carries our story.

YONGSEUNG: I would recommend our debut track, “불러줘 (Ring Ring Ring).” It incorporated the New Jack Swing genre into K-pop when it was not common yet, and it also represents VERIVERY’s identity.

KANGMIN: I’d say “Get Away,” because I think it’s a really cool and sexy track.

If you could swap concepts with any of your past eras for a day—just for fun—which one would you choose?

DONGHEON: I want to try another horror concept, like “Tag Tag Tag.”

GYEHYEON: I’d like to try New Jack Swing again, which we showcased for our debut album. I’m curious how we can portray the genre as a mature version of VERIVERY.

YEONHO: I want to try “Tap Tap” again, because it’s a fun song that’s easy to vibe to.

YONGSEUNG: There is a B-side track, “Hold me tight,” in our FACE US album. It’s a refreshing track that’s easy to listen to, so I think it’d be nice to perform a song like that with big smiles.

KANGMIN: I’d like to try “Get Away” again. I really like the song, and I’m confident I can do better if we were to perform that song now.

When someone hears the name VERIVERY in 2025, what do you hope they think of?

DONGHEON: I hope people think of VERIVERY as a friendly image.

GYEHYEON: I would like to hear people describe us as a ‘group that excels in performances.’ We put a lot of effort into preparing this album and new performances to earn that title, so please give us your

support and love!

YEONHO: It would be great if they think of our new album, Lost and Found, when they hear our name.

YONGSEUNG: I hope they think of us as a cool group, because we’re constantly improving and becoming cooler!

KANGMIN: I would like them to think of our smiles as we enjoy every moment with great passion. I was very touched to see our members being happy during our recent fan meeting.

Lastly, please leave a message for VERRERs reading this.

DONGHEON: Hi VERRERs, we’re back with a new album, Lost and Found! It is filled with great songs, so I hope you give it a listen, and I look forward to how far we’ll go with this album. Please give much love and support to Lost and Found and its title track, “RED (Beggin’).”
