Critics have also taken notice of his talent, with features in publications such as Billboard, Genius, Billboard Radio China, and Billboard Korea. As he continues to hone his craft as a singer-songwriter, the future holds promising prospects for this talented Korean-American.

Recently, Justin Park granted me an exclusive interview, during which he delved into his upcoming collaboration album, his aspirations for his LA performance, his overarching goals, and more.

Hello, Justin Park! Firstly, thanks for taking the time to speak with me. Please

introduce yourself to my readers.

Hi guys, my name is Justin Park! Rnb singer and writer from Los Angeles. My biggest

goal in life and with my music is to touch the lives of people and to connect with those

who I have the privilege to meet along my journey. I wish to bring people together, new,

old, visionary, and non-visionary, to create the greatest art this earth has ever seen. I

believe everyone has something so special about them. It's just how we show the world

that's important; all I wish to be is a catalyst.

Congratulations on your upcoming project with Junoflo, G2, and Year of the OX. What

excites you most about the new music and the show in Los Angeles?

I'll take you back to when we decided to work together with the guys in the first place. To

be honest, I was completely and absolutely thrilled. I’ve watched JunoFlo and G2 shine

on Korea’s #1 rap show, "Show Me the Money," which I also recently took place in, where I

sat alongside Jay Park and Producer Slom on team SLAY. Teaming up with Yox (Year of the

Ox) is also something so special to me because I had listened to one of Rick’s older

songs called “The Gift” over and over maybe 3,000 times growing up. That song meant a

lot to me, and I'd say that it became a huge motivation that gave me the courage to think

that maybe music was a possibility for my future. This compilation album, as well as the

shows, is going to be something so unique, and I really urge the fans to come and see

what we’ve put together, as I believe that all of the guys and I have evolved

tremendously over the years.

What impression do you hope to leave on fans with this new project?

I think that I want the fans to feel like they’re living life when they hear these songs. I

want them to listen and treat it like a soundtrack to everyday life. I want our listeners to

sing and feel cool bobbing along cause that's what music should do. I'm sure this album

will make you smile, dance, and feel; that's all I can ever wish to accomplish.

Can you provide any teasers or spoilers of what fans expect from the live show? Is there a particular song you’re excited to perform live?

I’ll just say that this album is so dope because of the depth of collaboration and how

immensely different all of our sounds are. But the way that we’ve made it work was

something so fun and something I'm so excited to share. The song I'm most excited to

perform personally is a song called “Gold Rocky,” dropping on Mar 24th ft. G2, and Yox.

Do you have any pre-show rituals?

My pre-show rituals are to take a long hot shower to really loosen up my vocal cords,

do a nice long vocal warmup, and do some cardio, not in that specific order.

Your vocals immediately captured my attention on the new single “Gold Rocky.” Can you

tell me about the carefree vibe of the song? What makes it so addicting?

Gold Rocky is fun to sing along to, and I know this because I got a bunch of rappers to

sing this nonstop for days because they thought it was catchy. Everybody really loves a

drive song, but a groovy one, and this song is exactly that. When I listen to it, it makes

me feel like I'm in Vegas.

Are there any memorable behind-the-scenes stories from recording the song or the

music video for “Gold Rocky?”

For me, the best memory would be the music video shoot for this video, which was just

plain old fun. There's no other literal way I can say It. It was just so fun.

What inspired you to start making music?

I think that growing up really financially impoverished played a big role in me wanting to

accomplish something big. I had a huge passion for music and the arts, so I felt like It

was right to become a music artist.

For newer Justin Park fans, what song would you recommend they listen to first? What’s your favorite song from your discography?

For new fans, I’d definitely recommend “On the Low,” which I feel is everyones

favorite as well as BTS’s Jung Kook (laughs). And one more song that I’d recommend is

“Shady” from my new album “I Can See The Stars From Here”.

What’s your goal for this year, personally or as an artist?

My goal is to just make the best music that I can, with the truest of hearts. I really want to

channel my emotions and, live a lot of life and learn a lot of things along the way. All my

music really is a big diary of stories that I get to paint.

What can fans expect from you next?

I don't want to reveal too much, but we’re working on a lot of music and a lot of

developing of ideas. So before I reveal anything, i wish to get to work on what we’ve got

going on so far a bit more.

Lastly, can you please share a message of love for your fans?

Guys, I can't thank you enough for the energy that you give me daily, and even just here

and there. It all counts to me. The world and the people in it continue to become worse,

but you all remain some of the most positive and supportive people I have ever seen, and that is so touching to me. Almost validating that I'm doing the right thing by choosing to make music. Because if I had chosen not to, I would’ve never had the chance to have or

meet such beautiful fans. Seriously, I'm thankful for you all. (smiles)
